Style the Intotum Jenni Suit 4 Ways

This is my Jenni suit from Intotum and because it is actually named after me I wanted to see how many different ways I could style it. The suit includes a cropped blazer and a skort with Velcro side fastenings which makes it much easier to put on and adjust whether you are seated or standing. The blazer sits really well when seated with ruched sleeves for manual wheelchair users and magnetic buttons for ease.

Workwear:
I styled the suit with black tights, my adaptive white @primark shirt with popper buttons and a smart black ankle boot. It is polished but comfortable and perfect for meetings or work events.

Date night:
This look leans into something a little more sexy with my ACOTAR Thorns and Roses tights from @snagtights , a deep purple satin bodysuit with lace detail and my trademark black heels with diamanté bows.

Glam:
For a dressier look I swapped the skort for a glittery red dress from @quizclothing , kept the blazer and heels and showed off the magnetic buttons. This is exactly what I would wear to a party, birthday or evening event.

Casual:
For something more relaxed I threw on my Intotum black cargos which have the same Velcro side fastenings as the skort, a graphic tee, the Jenni blazer and a black Chelsea boot. Ideal for the pub or a casual dinner when you still want to look put together.

Can this nifty gadget open all of these?! Let’s find out.

Welcome back to another episode of Accessible Hack or Send It Back, the series where I try adaptive gadgets so you don’t have to. Last week I showed you this tool in my Ultimate Hacks video but I really wanted to put it through it's paces and see if it really works in 6 or more different ways!

Today we’re testing this 6-in-1 multi opener tool which I think everyone could benefit from, and it’s packed with features:

- A classic bottle opener
- A twist-top bottle grip
- A larger section for jars and bigger bottles
- A slot for ring pulls (great on tins like tomatoes, not so great on fizzy drinks!)
- A built-in blade to open packets
- And a tweezer-style section that grips and lifts peel-back lids, like pet food tins or yoghurt pots

So many people ask about tools for child-locked packaging too and this one worked on Coco’s medication!

The fact that it opened all this and only costs around £5? Definitely an accessible hack for me.

Learning new wheelchair skills isn’t always glamorous.

It starts in my living room, with a sofa behind me just in case I fall.
Just me, my wheels, and a whole lot of wobbling.

Wheelies aren’t just for show.
They are actually a really useful skill.

They help you tip your chair safely over curbs, lips, or uneven ground.
But learning to do them confidently takes time.

There were a lot of almosts,
and more than a few not quites.

But slowly, my confidence started to build.

I began using wheelies in real-life situations.
Getting over a lip.
Navigating a dropped curb.
Adjusting in a tight space.

There is still more to learn.
But every little win matters.

Because disabled people don’t just deserve access.
We deserve the skills and support to navigate it on our own terms.

What disability myths do you still hear that need busting?

Today we are breaking down some of the most common misconceptions about disability and what the reality actually looks like.

1. “If you really need a mobility aid, you would use it all the time.”

Reality: Disability is not consistent. Many disabled people use different aids on different days or for different situations. Someone might walk short distances, use a wheelchair outside, or need mobility aids only when symptoms flare. Using an aid sometimes does not make someone “less disabled.” No one used a wheelchair in bed! (do not try it at home!)

2. “It’s easy to get support if you’re disabled & people fake disability for benefits.”

Reality: Accessing support is often long, confusing, and exhausting. Finding out what help exists, completing applications, attending assessments and chasing responses can take months or years. The admin alone can be a full-time job. Most support does not even cover the extra costs of being disabled, let alone provide comfort or ease.

3. “Disabled people are lazy or rely too much on others.”

Reality: Many disabled people push themselves far beyond safe limits just to be taken seriously. We problem-solve constantly, adapt everything and often overwork ourselves to prove we are capable. Needing support is not the same as being lazy and independence does not mean doing everything alone.

4. “Being disabled means life is miserable or over.”

Reality: Disability is often shown as the worst possible outcome in TV, films & workplace training. While being disabled can be incredibly hard, it is not the absence of joy. Many of us experience deep, meaningful, joyful lives. Life may not look how we once imagined, but that does not make it less valuable or less full.

My ultimate everyday chronic illness and disability hacks.
Honestly, most of these would help anyone.

These are not trendy gadgets. They are things I actually use every single day to save energy and make life more manageable.

A heated blanket with multiple heat settings and a timer. I live in this, especially when my body cannot regulate temperature. I recently upgraded to a bigger one and I do not know how I managed without it. Plus pets LOVE it too!

A hands-free hair dryer stand. This is actually designed for drying pets, but it works perfectly for humans too. No holding a heavy dryer and no arms above my head. I can sit, rest, and still dry my hair properly.

A wheelie stool. Even though I have a manual wheelchair for indoors, I still use this all the time because it is much more compact and works better in a small kitchen. It means I can stay seated and still move around without exhausting myself.

A 6-in-1 multi-opener tool. If you struggle with hand pain or opening bottles, jars, packets, tins with pull rings, this does it all with much less effort. It even opens child-locked medication pots.

A robot vacuum. I treated myself to this in the sales and I wish I had bought one years ago. Especially if you have a dog or use a wheelchair and track things in, you can set it off every day to maintain clean floors without doing anything beyond pressing a button on your phone. We love it and have affectionately named him Eugene!

These are the kinds of hacks that make daily life feel more manageable.

Welcome back to another episode of Accessible Hack or Send It Back, the series where I try adaptive gadgets so you don’t have to. Last week I showed you this tool in my Ultimate Hacks video but I really wanted to put it through it's paces and see if it really works in 6 or more different ways!
